Some argue that the way where uncles, aunts and grandparents are involved in the process of upbringing is better for children than the involvement of only parents. I totally agree with this statement due to the fact that children brought up by the whole family rather than just parents tend to be more open-minded and sociable.

A fundamental reason for the involvement of the whole family members is that different parenting styles and personalities of family members could help children to understand biodiversity of human beings.  Such experiences where a child forced to be introduced to variety of parenting styles could help them to be more tolerate to society in the long run. In other words, parents could have artificial values whereas grandparents might be supporters of traditional values, that will help children to have a profound understanding of people as well as their motives and they will be less prejudiced to different sorts of people.

Furthermore, participation of all family members allows children to improve social skills, the reason for this is because communicating with a lot of people of different age could be beneficial in establishing a relationship.  This approach, where all family members are actively involved in life education process, develops skills which will help to express themselves and represent ideas in community. In my life practice, children raised up only by parents tend to be less talkative and less empathic.

To conclude, growing up in a big family has positive effects on a child because this environment could help a child to become more broad-minded and develop vital social skills better rather than being brought up by just parents.

Some people say that art subjects such as music, drama and creative writing are an essential part of education, and every school should include them in its syllabus. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give your opinion and examples from your own experience.

It is argued that education institutions should develop students’ singing, acting and writing skills by adding such classes to their curriculum. This essay totally agrees with this statement because art classes can serve as a therapy for students in need and might be a good help in choosing their future profession.

Many schools have exceptional students as gifted learners and students with different backgrounds. These learners demand different approaches and they need additional classes except regular subjects. For example, creative activities can be a good form to express themselves for extra shy students and help them ease and sooth stress for ones who cope with school’s daily pressure and difficult assignments. As a result, it might serve as some type of healing and meditative therapy for children.

For young learners it might be difficult to choose their future professions. For those art classes are beneficial in a way to find themselves and decide who they want to be.  For instance, I have seen many examples where majority of my classmates wanted to connect their lives with science and math however, when drama classes were added to our syllabus they got interested in them and several students chose to be artists and two of them end up becoming famous in music and film industry.

In conclusion, classes which develop students’ creativity should be priority in schools because they are useful in discovering children’s creative abilities and boost their self-esteem as well as improve social-emotional abilities. It is highly recommended by researchers to involve students in art classes to improve memory and concentration skills, develop decision-making and critical thinking skills.

Nowadays media should include more good news in their publications. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

It is argued that there are too few news with good sentiment in public media these days which has to be changed. This essay disagrees with the statement because news agencies should present the world as it is as well as there are situations when the good news are inappropriate.

Newspapers and TV should show the events from an independent angle. Otherwise, if news agencies are made to keep the equal amount of the sentiment in news, they will end up with creating fake happy stories from nowhere. Instead, how many there are sad and happy articles should depend on what actually happens from day to day. For example, a study done by the New York Times says that the first thing that its readers need is hot news while the sentiment of the news does not matter to them.

Besides, publishing good news on certain days could be not the right thing to do. Sometimes there are terrorist attacks happen and government declares an emergency throughout the country. Worse, in case of lethality, news about happiness may insult many people. For  instance, the London TV made the same mistake once and they had to publicly apologise afterwards.

In conclusion, TV and newspapers should not include more good news because they should give an independent view and sometimes there could be a bad time for such news. It is predicted that in future there will be different kinds of public media, one would focus on hot and most actual events while others would be more entertaining.

Some people from poor and rural backgrounds find it difficult to get a university education. Universities have to make it easier, especially for such groups, to get into them. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is argued that universities should make their entrance process more accessible for people with financial problems. This essay totally agrees with this statement because people with rural backgrounds are as smart as the others and they need an opportunity to get a decent job.

Some people believe that students from rich families are more intelligent than the poor ones, but it is just a stereotype that was proved wrong. People with rural backgrounds actually tend to be more active in terms of using school’s library and access to the Internet for gaining knowledge. They seize every opportunity they have to learn something new and show that they are not worse than the others. For example, this year one student from little village of Kazakhstan had been studying hard and was enrolled to Harvard university for a full grant despite the fact of being poor.

Beneficial career is the key to prosperous future, but the majority of high-paid and prestigious jobs require bachelor’s or master’s degree. A lot of talented people that do not have enough money for university end up wasting their skills that could be valuable for labour market. Therefore, universities should support gifted students with financial problems, so their abilities can be appraised on a par with the others. For example, education in Norway is free for everyone who seeks knowledge, so everyone has fair chances to get a job.

In conclusion, universities should make it easier for poor people to get an education, because such groups are not unintelligent or ignorant and they should also have a chance to get high-paid work.

Many people believe that teachers can influence the intellectual and social development of children, more than parents do. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give your opinion and include relevant examples.

It is undoubtful that education plays a significant role in any person development, which makes many people concerned that teachers might be of a great influence on minds of their children. I support these concerns because teachers spend tremendous amount of time with the children during their development, and also their influence is backed up by being charismatic experts, a skill, which many tutors have.

Any person meets a lot of tutors throughout their life and it all starts in the childhood. Most youngsters have at least a kindergarden teacher and a school teacher. Due to the nature of how educational system is organized, every kid spends at least 1/3 of their life interracting with a tutor. There is no doubt teacher’s opinion becomes what really matters as teacher becomes more of a friend to young boy or girl. For example, I have seen many kids refusing to go home from school just because they enjoyed spending time with their teachers at school.

On the other hand, teachers are definitely considered to be the experts in their respective fields. Children are attracted to professionals, who can share their knowledge in a fun and entertaining way, and teachers are naturally good at that. So when a child craves for a new knowledge, they will probably seek help of a teacher, rather than a parent. My friend has choosen to become a math teacher because of the effect our math tutor had on us through her brilliant method of teaching.

To conclude, teachers are playing a significant role throughout the whole process of a child’s development both intellectually and socially through their constant presense in youngster’s life and unique way of sharing knowledge in a fun and entertaining way. That is why it is  advised to choose teachers carefully, because in the end they partially define what your child will become as an adult.

Some people think that in order to produce a happy society, it is necessary to ensure that there is only a small difference between the earnings of the richest and poorest. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is argued that a small income gap between rich and poor will help to achieve happiness among people. I completely disagree with this statement because the money does not influence our feeling of happiness, moreover, a difference between earnings motivates people to reach their goals.

There are many cases that people enjoy their life even though they have very low incomes. This means happiness is not measured by money that we earn, it is how we look at the world. Many people with standard income are happy, since they have learnt how to meet their basic needs and enjoy every day the simple life in the company of friends and family. For instance, a research published in the journal Quality of Life found that people in the countries with a bigger gap of incomes showed higher level of satisfaction with life.

Another reason why the idea of reducing earnings inequality might not affect happiness is that people feel satisfaction when they are encouraged to climb the social ladder. In other words, there is a positive relationship between inequality and happiness. While people progress at their work and achieve possible status, they will feel fulfilment and therefore be happy during this process. If the income gap were narrow, people would not be motivated to have upward mobility. For example, the survey from the University of Virginia has depicted that 40% of adults in the US are not satisfied with their life although their incomes have doubled in few years.

In conclusion, it is undoubtful that being happy mostly depends on internal factors such as personality and outlook on life, that is why lessening the earnings difference cannot be the reason for making people happier.

Nowadays environmental problems are too big for individual countries or people to solve. We have reached the stage where we need cooperation on an international level to protect the environment. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is argued that modern environmental problems require collaboration by most of the countries to solve. This essay agrees with that statement because first of all humanity needs to set realistic goals for enviroment protection, as well as establish an international system of penalties for countries which violate these efforts.

When talking about environmental protection, every country understands their goals differently. That is why the first task of international society is to define common and realistic goals of environmental protection, which most countries can pursue easy enough. Doing so will allow more countries to contribute to these joint efforts. For example, international tendency to avoid using disposable plastic bags works well for most of the countries, that is why we see an increase in number of counties joinig plastic bags ban. On the other hand, switching from fossil fuels to renewable energy is a far-reaching goal for the majority of poor countries.

Aside from help in aligning environmental programs, international working groups might ensure that more and more countries are joining these programs using various motivational strategies and penalties. In order to be welcomed by an international society, every country must follow some rules, including modern environmental protection policies. For example, leading countries already put heavy trading penalties on Iran and China to decrease an amount of nuclear experiments. In order to continue effective trading with most of the world, these countries must follow these limitations.

In conclusion, environmental problems know no borders. For that reason international society should work together toward setting realistic common goals for environmental protection, as well as penalizing countries for not willing to join these efforts.

It is believed that family has a bigger impact on the life and growth of a child than other things like friends, TV, music. I completely agree with this statement because interactions with family members help children to develop basic social skills and receive emotional support.

Social development is the key process in which children acquire the skills, attitudes, and behaviors necessary to interact effectively with others. Children often learn social behaviors by observing and imitating their parents and family members. That is to say, they pick up on communicational styles and emotional expressions by watching how their family members socialize with each other and with outsiders. For example, a child watches how his parents engage in polite conversations, saying ‘please’ or ‘thank you’. Positive interactions within the family contribute to a child’s ability to form healthy relationships outside.

Additionally, the emotional support a child gets from family has a profound impact on emotional intelligence and well-being. In other words, a safe family space is provided for children to express their emotions, learn to manage them, and develop empathy for others. Although by focusing solely on study students are likely to get better grades, involvement in extracurricular activities helps them discover their relative passions and interests outside of their academic activities. Moreover, participating in extra activities expose students to promote essential skills such as leadership, teamwork, and time management. For instance, a student who takes part in a student organization or club would advance leadership skills by organizing events or taking leadership roles.
