Air pollution is one of the largest problems the world is facing today. What are some causes of air pollution and what measures can be proposed to solve this problem?

Nowadays, one of the world's most significant issues is air contamination. The primary cause of this phenomenon is the increase in transportation day by day and the most decent solution is to enlarge the consumption of the public transport system.

The major factor in smog in industrial areas is the growth in vehicle numbers. That is to say, a car burns gasoline, thereby emitting harmful air pollutants in the form of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxide into the atmosphere. As a result, high vehicle pollution in the atmosphere contributes to a variety of health problems. For example,  recent studies in Stanford University found that at the peak of New Dheli's asthmatic episodes, when the air pollution index was at 251,12% of its citizens died due to respiratory issues.

A long-term solution to this predicament is to enhance the usage of public transport. In order to decrease air pollution, it is recommended to drive electric cars, bicycles, or walk. However, electric vehicles are more expensive than conventional vehicles and biking or walking is not a practical way to travel long distances. Therefore, the use of public transport is more convenient for everyone. For instance, a decade ago the Australian government modernized their public transportations system such as trains and buses and now their air quality is considered as the best in the world.

In conclusion, air pollution is one of the world’s most crucial problems at present time because of the excessive consumption of cars that emit greenhouse gases and government improving the public transport system is the only answer.

Air pollution is one of the largest problems the world is facing today. What are some causes of air pollution and what measures can be proposed to solve this problem?

Nowadays, one of the most significant challenges our world confronting is air pollution. The primary cause of this issue is the burning of fossil fuels and the most viable solution for this would be spreading awareness about its impact on the environment.

One major reason for air pollution is the widespread use of fossil fuels. The combustion of fossil fuels in transportation, industries, and energy production releases harmful pollutants such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere, which leads to air pollution and formation of smog. For instance, according to Peshcom initiative’s research conducted last year, the combustion of fossil fuels in the private sector and energy production has become the primary source of smog, accounting for approximately 80% of the harmful pollutants released into the atmosphere, contributing to air pollution and worsening smog formation in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Raising awareness about the environmental impact of fossil fuel usage might be a long-term solution. Educational campaigns can lead to more eco-friendly choices, such as opting for renewable energy and give up private vehicles, reducing harmful emissions. For example, in the Netherlands, people are actively switching to electric vehicles and bicycles with the government's support, leading to fewer emissions and cleaner air in cities.

In conclusion, producing and burning of traditional energy sources creates air pollution. This issue can be addressed by spreading awareness and involving communities  about its environmental consequences.

Experts say older people were happier and healthier in the past because they did more exercise and spent more time with family and friends, whereas now many suffer loneliness and health problems. What are the causes of this and what are some solutions?

Researchers exploring aging mechanisms report that the elderly have become more vulnerable to mental and body diseases over the last decades due to the lack of physical activity and less time spent with their relatives and companions. The primary cause for this phenomenon is social isolation and the most viable solution is to educate retired people about this issue.

Social isolation is the form of physical separation from other people. That is to say, there are a lot of old people who find themselves alone due to the death of their beloved ones, separation from friends, colleagues or family. This results in depression of an immune system which in turn may lead to higher risks for a variety of physical and mental disorders:  diabetes, strokes, anxiety and even death. For instance, about 37 percent of older adults in the United States living alone, have panic attacks and anxiety, according to a study by the Department of Health.

A long term solution is to educate older people about the dangers of social isolation. They could be taught about how to engage in meaningful, productive activities with other retired individuals, boost their mood or take various classes on cooking, dancing or sewing. If these measures are taken responsibly, they will help them to maintain their well-being and may improve their cognitive function. To illustrate, pensioners in Japan learned about the consequences of social separation and now they have one of the lowest rates of Alzheimer disease which is also proven to be caused by loneliness .

In conclusion, retirees are prone to different health issues lately because of social isolation and they should be taught how to keep one’s welfare.

The trend of increasing tourism causes environmental problems in many parts of the world. What are the main causes of pollution it creates? What can be done to reduce it?

Many parts of the world have become accessible to tourists over the last years, which has brought an environmental pollution problem. One of the reasons for that is an increasing level of human-produced waste, such as disposable plastic. In order to prevent further harm, tourist attraction sites should employ janitor services funded by tourist fees, while launching a public-awareness campaign at the same time.

People in a modern world produce a lot of waste, which are being handled by special services in any city. However, tourist attractions usually do not have that luxury, that is why many sights are becoming polluted with human-produced waste, such as disposable plastic, paper and glass bottles. Garbage, if left unattended, pollutes earth, contaminates water, endangeres animals and can even cause wild fires. For example, every year Siberia is being harmed by dreadful bushfires caused by people being reckless about garbage handling.

The foremost solution is to employ janitor services to clean up tourist attractions on a regular basis. Those services should be funded by tourist fees. This practice is quite popular in some reserved areas already, so it is a good idea to spread it further. At the same time local autorities should educate people on environmental problems and the harm people are causing. For example, Black Sea resort Anapa is charging every tourist a small daily fee, which is used to clean up streets and coastline.

In conclusion, many tourst sites are being polluted by human-produced waste left behind by tourists. Therefore, governments should use part of tourism-produced income to clean up after people and educate individuals on the importance of taking care about an environment.

Many doctors say that people in today’s world do not do enough physical exercise. What do you think are the causes of this?
What solutions are there to this problem?

A tremendous amount of healthcare specialists ring a bell due to the radical decrease in levels of physical activity among modern population. One of the reasons for that decline is a widespread of personal cars at all levels, and the most viable solution is that governments should invest heavily into making people switch from cars to bikes whenever possible.

It is undoubtly that in modern society every household has at least one car, while others have two or even more, so the car has become  usual means of transportation in almost any situation. While some might see this as a good thing,  others mostly cease using other ways to transport themselves. Usage of personal cars resulted in breaking the first recommendation by the healthcare specialists having required level of physical activities, which says that every individual should walk at least 13,000 steps a day. For example, an average working class person walks no more than 1,000 steps a day, according to the 2018 year survey, conducted by the World Health Organization.

So far there are dreadful consequences of public health because of this problem, it is belived that local governments can improve the situation by encouraging people to use bikes in their everyday life. Investments into bike lanes, bike rental services and bike parkings could really switch a coin here. Another viable solution, which goes on par with investing into bikes infrastructure, is a massive public awareness campaign, explaining all the benefits of choosing a bike over a car. For example, in Amsterdam, probably the most bikes-friendly city in the world, 90% of population use bikes on an everyday basis, basically exercising on their way to work and back home.

To conclude, while the usage of personal cars resulted in the decline of levels of physical activities among modern generation, it is quite easy to counteract this problem by making people use bikes provided that the governments improve city’s infrastructures toward being more bikes-friendly.
